Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Student Academic Success, the Student Success Advisor provides academic advisement to a caseload of students with undeclared majors and other special populations. The Student Success Advisor collaborates with other College offices to facilitate student exploration of strengths, goals, and career directions, leading to major selection and transition to faculty advisors. The person in this position will also:

• Facilitate course registration communication, workshops, and outreach each semester
• Teach multiple sections of the freshman transition course.
• Assist the Director with new academic advisor training, communication, and professional development programming throughout the academic year
• Assist with academic notice, dismissal, and early alert system processes as needed

Annual Salary: $58,500.00

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• Knowledge of theories and best practices related to academic advising and college student retention and success
• Classroom teaching and group advising skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• At least one year of relevant experience

A background screening will be required.
