Student Worker - University Communications Photojournalist Description of Internship: The Office of University Communications is seeking to hire a student with experience in photography (shooting and editing) for the fall semester to cover assignments and provide campus candids to help ensure fresh photography for social media, the OWU website, etc. Guidance on preferred shooting and editing styles will be provided, but the ideal candidate will have demonstrable proficiency in photojournalism and a nose for news. Camera equipment will be provided if needed. Examples of assignments include: Covering student/campus events such as Student Involvement Office spirit events and other club activities. Taking photos of guest lecturers and/or awards ceremonies. Taking campus candids (without ties to a specific event) to show the vibrancy of OWU campus life. Assist in managing the University Communications photo archive, including sorting and keywording to improve search capabilities and color-correcting photos. Required skills: Photography and photo editing proficiency required (Photoshop preferred). Applicant should provide links to photography samples and list any relevant software proficiency and relevant coursework. A nose for news is always helpful.
