Position Title Student Worker: Infrastructure Services TEC-E Job Duties

The Infrastructure Services TEC-E will assist the Infrastructure Services team in implementation, maintenance, and support of Butler's Network, Cyber Security, Server Administration, Identity Management, Physical Security, Voice and Unified Communications. The Infrastructure Services TEC-E is responsible for entering, responding to and resolving Service Desk tickets and performing assigned projects by Infrastructure Services team. This position will have the opportunity to learn and work with industry standard hardware and software applications such as VMware, Aruba, Cisco, and Microsoft.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Required knowledge and skills

A. Willingness to learn new technologies.

B. Aptitude to learn Butler approved software.

C. Possess the ability to understand Microsoft domain networked environment.

D. Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to multi-task.

E. Ability to support by phone, in person, and remote assistance tools.

F. Good oral and written communication skills.

G. Excellent analytical, organizational, planning skills to enhance all facets of services through efficient processes.

H. Ability to follow complex instructions either written or orally.

I. Aptitude to understand complex systems.

J. Ability to identify, isolate and communicate problems from/to all levels of users, technical staff and management.

K. Self-starter.

Required experience

A. Basic understanding of computer hardware and software.

B. Strong customer support skills

Required educational background

Must be enrolled in at least one credit hour at Butler Community College.
