Job Description :

Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure, the Student Worker will assist with the development of a new feature

on the university website, Help@Shawu. This position is an excellent opportunity for students interested in

gaining hands-on experience in IT, particularly in chatbot development, database management, and customer

service.

Essential Job Functions:

Chatbot Development:

* Assist in the creation and implementation of a chatbot for the Help@Shawu feature on the university's

website.

* Collaborate with IT staff to design, test, and deploy chatbot solutions that enhance user experience and

provide quick, automated responses to common inquiries.

Database Solutions:

* Build and maintain databases that will support the chatbot's functionality.

* Develop systems to log and categorize questions received through Help@Shawu to improve future

responses and solutions.

Customer Support and Call Management:

* Answer incoming calls to Help@Shawu and direct them to the appropriate departments or personnel.

* Provide basic technical assistance and troubleshooting over the phone when possible.

Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

* Current enrollment as a student at Shaw University is required.

* None required.
