This position is open to students who are at least 16 years of age at the time of application. The primary responsibility of a student worker is to assist in the assigned department, site, or area, which may include custodial, grounds, maintenance, technology, or classroom tutoring. Student workers are expected to maintain satisfactory academic performance and attendance, as outlined below, and are allowed to work only during non-instructional hours, including distance-learning times.Salary Range$13.58/hr. This is a part-time, non-benefitted position.Essential Duties and Responsibilities* Duties and responsibilities will be specific to the assigned department, site, or area.* Must follow oral and written directions; communicate effectively with others.* Must maintain a consistent professional demeanor.Requirements* Must report to the department, site, or area in accordance with the established hours of work agreed upon with the supervisor.* Must report absences in the prescribed manner.* Must be passing all classes with no F's. Grade checks will be conducted quarterly.* School attendance is mandatory. If absent from school, the student is unable to work on that day.* No transportation will be provided by the department/organization. Student workers are responsible for their own transportation to and from the workplace.* Student workers are allowed to work only during non-instructional hours, including distance-learning times.Qualifications* Must be at least 16 years of age at the time of application.* Strong time management skills and ability to balance work and academic commitments.Physical Demands* Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 100 pounds.* Good physical condition and ability to pass a physical examination.* Frequent reaching, handling, and fine motor activities.* Effective communication skills.Working Conditions* Conditions vary depending on the assigned department, site, or area.* Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.* On-campus work required.* Hours per day/week will vary according to the assignment.Note: This job description covers the key aspects of the position, including duties, qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, physical demands, and working conditions.
