Description Taft Junior College was established on August 30, 1922 as part of the Taft Union High School District. Classes were first held on the high school campus. The school title officially became Taft College on July 1, 1954, and in September of 1956 a separate campus opened in the current location at 29 Cougar Court adjacent to the high school. The West Kern Community College District was later formed, and is a single-college-district under the guidance of a five-member Board of Trustees. Job Summary The Student Activities Worker II will provide assistance and guidance for students looking to get involved in co-curricular activities outside the classroom. they assist with coordination and promotion of campus events sponsored by clubs or other support programs. They also help to guide students toward support services on campus. Work Study Responsibilities:
- Managing all gaming equipment in the gaming area
- Help set-up and clean up campus events
- Maintain cleanliness of the offices and student center
- Assist with outreach activities
- Maintain student files
- Front desk support in the Student Center
- Clerical work as directed
- Organize and manage ASO inventory

- Currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 units, in good standing, with Taft College.
