Studio Assistant - Botanical Brush : Job Details

About Us: We are a brand new paint-your-own pottery studio that combines creativity with nature! Our studio features a calming atmosphere filled with indoor plants, providing a unique space for customers to relax and create their own hand-painted pottery pieces. We are seeking friendly, enthusiastic, and creative individuals to join our small team and help us deliver an unforgettable experience to our customers.

Position: Studio Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers as they enter the studio
• Explain how the pottery painting process works and guide customers in selecting pottery pieces
• Provide creative advice and tips to customers on painting techniques
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including pottery shelves, painting stations, and plant displays
• Ensure paints, brushes, and other materials are restocked regularly
• Handle cash register and process transactions
• Clean and glaze pottery pieces after customers complete their designs
• Water and care for indoor plants to ensure they remain healthy and vibrant
• Assist with hosting workshops, events, and private parties
• Monitor kiln operations and manage pottery firing schedules (training provided)
• Maintain an inviting and friendly atmosphere for customers of all ages
• Help with marketing efforts such as posting on social media or organizing local promotions (as needed)

Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service skills with a positive and approachable demeanor
• Basic artistic skills or experience with painting (preferred but not required)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Passion for creativity, plants, and working with people
• Willingness to learn and assist with kiln operations (training provided)
• Availability on weekends and holidays (flexible schedule)
