Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Subcontracts Engineer to join our team for the Project in Beaumont, Texas. The role involves managing and administering subcontracts with a focus on contractor performance regarding cost, schedule, and quality. This includes analyzing schedules, budgets, and variations while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Key Responsibilities

Subcontract Administration

  • Review and ensure adherence to contract terms and company policies.
  • Oversee contractor performance in cost, schedule, and deliverables.
  • Maintain detailed documentation, including Site Instructions, Variations, and Certificates.
  • Monitor risks, define mitigation measures, and recommend actions.
  • Coordinate with various disciplines to ensure seamless communication and project delivery.

Cost & Quantity Management

  • Review contractor progress payments and ensure accuracy.
  • Administer and monitor quantity surveys and back-charges.
  • Analyze and report on budget and milestone variances.

Variation Order Management

  • Evaluate cost and time impact of variations and site instructions.
  • Maintain records of Site Instructions and Variation Orders (VOR/VOs).
  • Support preparation of change orders with necessary documentation.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of subcontracting practices and construction industry standards.
  • Proficient in risk analysis, cost estimation, and project control.
  • Effective organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with a proactive and results-driven approach.
  • Expertise in Primavera P6 and related tools.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in contract management, cost estimation, and project control within EPC projects, specifically in Oil & Gas or Petrochemicals.
  • Prior experience in hydrogen and gas projects is required.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
