Substation Design - Akkodis : Job Details

Akkodis is seeking a Substation Design for a Contract job with a client in Las Vagas, NV . The ideal candidate will provide engineering design services for substation facilities, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within resource allocations. Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Substation Design job responsibilities include:

• Developing economical, technically feasible, and reliable substation physical and control designs.
• Managing multiple substation projects, collaborating with outside consulting firms and internal stakeholders.
• Ensuring quality control by providing construction support, including coordination with construction teams and conducting job site inspections.
• Coordinating and communicating with other departments to complete procurement tasks with moderate supervision.
• Assisting and guiding other departments in solving non-standard substation design problems.
• Providing accurate cost estimates for budgeting and cash flow requirements.
• Contributing to the development of detailed project schedules and updating project management systems.
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, codes, and regulations.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• 1-3 years of experience in substation design or a related engineering field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of substation/control engineering principles and utility engineering practices.
• Proficiency in economic analysis methods, budgeting procedures, and project scheduling.
