Medical experience preferred, but not required. The District will train and CPR certify. Responsibilities/Job Description:As a member of the Health Office team, a Health Paraprofessional supports quality student centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions, within their licensure scope, to support the needs of the healthcare team and students/support network. Some duties include, but are not limited to, collecting information and detailing the student's office visit in the school based electronic documentation system. The Health Paraprofessional is responsible to observe student conditions and perform necessary treatments/procedures in accordance to all policies, procedures and practice guidelines, promoting communication with all members of the team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each student and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow. Health Paraprofessionals deliver care as delegated by the LSN, and obtain and maintain physician order. They are able to prioritize work based on need, available resources, and work in collaboration with the other health and education team members. You may also perform high, and low risk, technical procedures during your daily work which could include: condition observation and reporting, use of diagnostic equipment, medication administration, administration of cares per Individualized Health Plans, first-aid, CPR, and other various assigned duties per the LSN.
