Job SummaryThe Instructional Aide assists in the instruction and supervision of the assigned classroom. Also assists in the supervision of students in outside settings.Requirements / QualificationsCompleted application, resume, letter of recommendation & proof of meeting the CDE paraprofessional requirement. Must meet the CDE paraprofessional requirements: -High school diploma or the equivalent, and -Two years of college (48 units), or -Associate's degree (or higher), or -Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction (This is a locally approved assessment. Local education agencies may develop their own assessment or use an existing assessment so long as it measures the knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction. Many districts use the California Basic Educational Skills Test [CBEST] for this purpose). Post-offer, candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and fingerprinting. CPR/first aide training and mandatory online training will be required once the physical and fingerprinting are cleared.
