Substitute Library Clerk LOCATION: District (Middle School & Elementary Buildings) HOURS: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM Seven (7) hours per day RATE OF PAY: Per adopted salary schedule QUALIFICATIONS: On-Line application completed Current BCI/ FBI Background Check on file High School diploma or equivalent. Successful experience working with school age children. Good work and attendance record. Accurate typing and data entry skills. Formal or informal training as a library clerk. Working knowledge computers. Basic bookkeeping skills. Ability to promote books and literature to children and adults. Working knowledge of an automated library system. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain the library's print and non-print collection. Help maintain and keep up-to-date electronic card catalog by adding new entries and withdrawing entries as necessary. Assist students and staff with the location and use of materials and equipment.
