Retirement benefits are through Department of Retirement Systems, SERS pension plans. QUALIFICATIONS:1. High school diploma or GED2. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals3. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals4. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form5. First aid card or willingness to obtainDesired QualificationsBilingual in SpanishReports to:Director & Assistant Director of Maintenance and TransportationSupervises:No direct reportsRESPONSIBILITIES:
Mopping, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, emptying wastebaskets, washing windows, washing wall and washing woodworkWaxing, buffing and scrubbing floorsPainting, removing garbage, changing light bulbs, unplugging drainsSnow removal and areas de-iced around entryways during the school day, evening activities and meetings in the buildingsClean and disinfect rest roomsPrepare rooms for meetings and programsWork may involve the use of mechanical equipmentNotify supervisors concerning the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating and ventilation equipmentWork from specific instructions and is expected to perform duties independentlyDemonstrate integrity, loyalty and professionalismKeep small lawns watered adjacent to buildingsSummer duties may include working with maintenance personnel inside and outside of buildings13. Other duties deemed necessary and appropriate as assigned by the supervisorsWORKING CONDITIONS:Working area will be throughout the entire school district as directed. Some duties may require working in the outside elements while the typical duties will be performed indoors. It may be expected that the individual could be exposed to blood or other potentially infectious materials during the course of their duties.
