Aledo ISD recruits and hires new Guest/ Substitute candidates on a regular basis.

Requirements:

* Uploaded Resume

* Three (3) professional references (no friends or family)

* High School diploma / GED OR

* Official College transcripts with conferred degree (In order to be paid the degree daily rate)

* Proof ofTeacher certification (out of state or Texas certified), if applicable

* All subs must work a minimum of 12 days per school year to stay active.

2024-2025 Compensation Plan - TBD

* Official Conferred Degree required=Bachelor'sand up need to provide an official college transcript to be compensated accordingly

* All Guest Teachers are eligible to elect benefits once worked an average of 10 hours a week over first 90 days serving in a Substitute capacity.

* Guest Teacherpay will reflect FICA and income tax withholdings based on the W-4.

Long Term

Only certified guest teachers may serve in a long-term position, at the principal's discretion, in the absence of the classroom teacher. The certified long term substitute will earn $145 per day on the first consecutive day the substitute is teaching for the same teacher. The $145 per day rate shall continue until the conclusion of the extended period term. Substitute pay will reflect FICA and income tax withholdings based on the W-4.
