Gesell Institute for Early Childhood Learning at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens PointMonday-Thursday, 8:30am-3:40pmFree parking at UWSPUWSP students are welcomed to apply and can work hours within your availability Kennedy Elementary School: Monday-Thursday, 8:45am-11:55am McDill Elementary School: Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-11:40am Our Early Childhood Learning Program is seeking substitutes to support 3 and 4 year old students under the supervision of the classroom teacher. Enjoy engaging and modeling developmentally appropriate play and social skills. Be willing to assist with bathroom needs and diapering.No prior education or work experience is necessary to sub as a Regular Education Educational Assistant. Staff will guide you through your daily work schedule and provide support.You will be contacted when jobs become available and have the option to accept or decline depending on your availability. Subbing is a great way to support the needs of students. Below are some of the work you may be performing as a substitute.Essential Functions1) Assist with individual children and small groups of children. 2) Assists classroom teacher with classroom set-up and management during lessons.3) Supervises lunch room/cafeteria, halls, and playground/recess. 4) Reinforce social and personal safety and goals.5) Assist students with special health needs.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAssist teachers in the educational development of students to help promote their physical, mental, and social development. General knowledge of student educational needs in the classroom. Ability to take direction. Apply in the Wisconsin Education Career Access Network (WECAN).
