St John Vianney Catholic School accepts applications for daily and long-term substitute teachers for the 2023-2024 school year. Our school is located in the Mott Park area of Flint, Michigan. We are in the corridor of Kettering School, Powers Catholic High School, and the University of Michigan, Flint. We are looking for faith-filled individuals who are energetic, dedicated, talented, and ready to teach all grade levels.Substitute teachers can create their own schedules while being a part of a vibrant, faithful, warm community. It is a great way to stay engaged, make a difference, and earn extra money! Applicants should be practicing Catholics who are enthusiastic about incorporating the Catholic faith in their teaching. Preferred applicants have experience teaching students, a love of children, a willingness to learn, and enthusiasm for the classroom. Participation in the VIRTUS child protection program will be required of anyone hired. Applicants must have completed at least 90 semester hours of college credit, with a 2.5 GPA, at a four-year, regionally accredited institution. A valid State of MI teaching certificate or substitute certification is preferred but not required-the ability and desire to support Catholic school education are required.
