Overview:
Sugarloaf is looking for a dependable, skilled, and safety-oriented individual with good time management skills to join our team in the role of Resort Electrician. Our Resort Electricians are responsible for installing and maintaining electrical and power systems located throughout the resort. Daily work will be performed primarily on the ski lifts and snowmaking infrastructure, along with lodges, kitchens, rental units, and areas that are maintained by Sugarloaf.

Responsibilities:
- Perform all resort electrical needs in a safe and timely manner according to the National Electric Code
- Must be able to work on C. & D.C. drives, both digital and analog
- Fully capable to climb poles to work on pole lines and must have high voltage experience; must be able to climb and perform electrical maintenance on ski lift towers averaging 35 feet in height
- Have knowledge of AC and DC motors, controllers, soft starts and drives
- Understand instrumentation and low voltage controls
- Experience and expertise with infrared thermography/electrical infrared inspection
- Proficient with phone systems and devices
- Experience and expertise with residential, commercial, and industrial electrical
- Must be able to read schematics and blueprints
- Must be able to use a Megger and have working knowledge of oscilloscopes
- Familiar with ohms law, resistance and milliamps
- Must be able to use vibration equipment
- Must be able to follow instructions both written and verbal to ensure the safety of yourself and your fellow team members
- Assist in installing and maintaining electrical systems including but not limited to lighting, electrical outlets, and circuit breakers
- Thread conduit ends and connect couplings and conduit fittings using a wrench, using and installing PVC conduit
- Use tools such as conduit benders, screwdrivers, pliers, knives, hacksaws, and wire strippers, and hand power tools
- Replace faulty circuit breakers, fuses, switches, repair old fuse boxes, electrical and electronic components, or wire
- Work with other maintenance department members and department heads when performing installations and repairs
- Assist in the installation and repair of in-ground electrical and communication systems/wiring
- Assist in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for the electrical requirements of the snow-making division
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of two years experience, ski industry experience is preferred
- Must be able to work as part of a team in all weather conditions
- Must be able to adhere to job safety standards at all times
- Valid drivers license is required
- Must have good communication skills
