We are seeking a Hospitality Management Intern who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while bringing families closer together and caring deeply about our brand. The right Hospitality Management Intern checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.
The Hospitality/Tourism Intern is responsible for working with the Dollywood's Splash Country Management team in the day-to-day operations of all aspects of operation including the following: Guest Services, Revenue, and Attractions.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.
Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
* Perform Front Line duties including, but not limited to: Culinary, Merchandise, Hospitality, TimeSaver H2O, Admissions, Photos, House & Grounds Host, etc. and PIC (Person In Charge) for assigned team(s) following management approval
* Participate in Safety, Management and Team Lead meetings
* Schedule and attend mentor meetings with assigned management member learning about labor and revenue budgets, host surveys, performance review procedures, scheduling and timekeeping procedures.
* Assist with creating and implementing improvements in guest excellence, profit contribution, and job satisfaction.
* Actively participate in all internship professional development and guest speaker opportunities.
* Assist with team projects including surveys, appreciation events, and company parties.
* Assist Management team with various tasks.
* Complete one project benefiting the focus area as determined by Management.

Education and Experience Required
* 18 years of age or older.
* Must be enrolled in an accredited college degree program in a related field.
* Must have basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Valid TN driver's license and proof of personal liability insurance according to state law.
* Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
