What you will do:Our ideal candidate is someone who is excited to learn and is passionate about helping children in a fun, engaging, and collaborative manner.
  • Ensures a positive emotional climate
  • Engages children through:
    • Curriculum implementation
    • Playground activities
    • Direct childcare needs (feeding, diapering, and changing clothing, etc.)
  • Ensures learning environments are established and maintained to motivate and enable children to achieve developmental milestones appropriate for their age.
  • Ensures that a clean, safe, healthy, and sanitary learning environment is maintained and that children are kept clean, clothing is changed when necessary, and toys and other materials are disinfected each day
  • Responds intentionally to challenging behavior by helping children de-escalate and prompting appropriate skills
  • Ensures treatment plans developed are implemented
  • Ensures each child's growth and development by utilizing intervention strategies established by healthcare professionals
  • Toilet training and diaper changing will be required
  • Ensures that required reports are updated, completed, and turned in on time
  • Ensures the completion of classroom billing via deTASO.
  • Maintains classroom supplies
  • Ensures that visual supervision of the children is maintained at all times
  • Speaks in a well-modulated, pleasant, and caring voice to children, parents, and staff
  • Represents the program to parents, visitors, and the public in a positive way
  • Immediately reports any information regarding health and safety concerns to the Director, Assistant Director, or Nurse
  • Completes required training events
  • Is familiar with the company's policies, procedures, and guidelines, as well as those requirements set forth by regulatory agencies, including EIDT, AR Child Care Licensing, and the AR Health Department

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Available Monday - Friday
  • One year of experience working with children in a professional setting (preferred)
  • Pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle, lift, feel, and reach. The employee is frequently required to stand and stoop, twist, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
