Summer Camp Counselor/Lead Teacher (Seasonal)

Manlius Pebble Hill School (MPH) seeks enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as summer camp counselors from June 30-August 8, 2025. Our summer day camp offers camp for grades PreK-8 and runs Monday-Friday (except the week of June 30-July 3) with some flexibility. The current available positions are for counselors in the following areas:

Kinder Place (Grades PreK-K) Lead Counselor

Fun Place (Grades 1-2) Lead Counselor

Summer Place (Grades 3-4) Lead Counselor

Summer Place (Grades 5-8) Lead Counselor for art classes; Lead Counselor for theater classes; Lead Counselors for a variety of other fun classes.

As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and safe environment for children to learn, grow, and make lasting memories. If you have a passion for working with children, this is the perfect opportunity for you! The candidate must be willing to engage in a variety of activities as needed. Background in education a plus. References and background check required.

Responsibilities:-Counselors will supervise and engage with campers during scheduled daily camp classes and activities.

- Ensure the safety and well-being of campers at all times

-Foster positive relationships with campers, parents, and fellow staff members

-Provide guidance and support to campers in developing social skills and building self-confidence

-Maintain a clean and organized camp environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
