Summer Library Assistant - Colby College : Job Details

Job Description Department: Public Services - JMPay Rate Type: HourlyEmployee Type: Job Summary: Administrative summer employment. Works as part of the larger stacks maintenance team, ensuring that the physical materials in all three libraries and the annex are kept in working order. This includes shelf reading, shelving, collection shifting, and relabeling. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, shift books for prolonged periods of time (as projects demand), and work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Clean driver's license is a must. NOTE: If the position you are applying for requires driving an electric or gas-powered vehicle, you must have a valid driver's license. In addition, if your position requires driving a vehicle on public roadways, employment will be subject to meeting the College's Fleet Safety Policy requirements.
