Salary Range (Grade D/594 Hay): $93,473 (Min) - $147,748 (Max)
UTLO Compression Rate: $142,650
Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be accountable for planning, organizing, directing units, and managing all personnel and activities related to infrastructure maintenance, construction, and operations. The responsibilities will include but are not limited to overseeing subordinates and performing duties that may include developing cost estimates, coordinating general orders, providing necessary inspection, maintenance, repair and/or construction activities to ensure safe and reliable infrastructure operation. The selected candidate will also assume the duties and responsibilities of the General Superintendent during their absence
Education and Experience:
Six (6) years of related experience, and three (3) years of experience in a managerial/supervisory capacity; OR
A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in Transportation Management, Engineering or a related field preferred.
* Extensive knowledge of transportation operations with respect to infrastructure maintenance and construction, safety rules and safe work practices, material procurement and labor contracts.
* Experience in the repair, testing, maintenance, reconstruction, rehabilitation and installation of infrastructure components of a Rapid Transit System.
* Capable of estimating with respect to personnel and material support of operating and capital work
Selection Method:
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.
All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
