Job Description :

Hardypond is hiring an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee the ongoing management of assigned construction projects. The Superintendent provides excellent service to customers through continued communication throughout the length of the project.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Provide excellent customer service to ensure plans, specifications and project documents are executed based on customer and design expectations.

· Maintain professional communication with customers, clients, vendors, architects, and internal peers.

· Manage all laborers, subcontractors, and suppliers according to the designed schedule.

· Plan and order all construction materials for the project. Manage inventory of incoming materials.

· Plan and coordinate the equipment, machinery and tools required for each project on jobsite.

· Direct support labor with any additional carpentry related work outside of the work performed by subcontractors. Advise and mentor support carpenters and laborers.

· Safely operate equipment, machinery, hand and power tools. Uphold and ensure job site and operating procedures follow Hardypond and OSHA standards.

· Maintain accurate records, document actions, look-ahead schedules, and present progress logs for assigned project.

· Hold weekly onsite subcontractor meetings to review schedule and safety.

· Responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy working environment, and to take reasonable care of their own health and safety at work and of all other staff. Managers have a specific responsibility for the health and safety of their direct reports and other team members for which they have management responsibility.

Job Qualifications:

· Associate or bachelor's degree is preferred.

· 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Superintendent & 2+ years supervising experience on +$10m commercial construction projects.

· OSHA certification

· Knowledge of construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, and safety.

· Able to read blueprints and demonstrate mathematical skills for material estimates.

· Must be computer literate and have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, and Excel.

· Advanced working knowledge of Procore is a requirement for this role.

· 3+ years of experience in multifamily or hospitality construction a PLUS
