Job Title: SuperintendentJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Superintendent to join our growing team in Northern Virginia. This role is based in Winchester, with most projects located in the Fairfax corridor/NOVA. As a general contractor specializing in commercial work, this position will focus on healthcare GROUND-UP construction. Candidates with interior construction experience need not apply.
Responsibilities- Ensure safety compliance with OSHA 30 HR standards.
- Pre-qualify subcontractors and conduct subcontractor visits.
- Oversee digital and field mock-ups, ensuring they are reviewed prior to implementation.
- Request and direct Virtual Design needs and navigate BIM models.
- Build and refine CPM schedules from SD to CD level drawings, adhering to LEAN scheduling procedures.
- Explain LEAN scheduling to subcontractors and clients.
- Evaluate waste in project schedules and use the Last Planner method for project milestones.
- Develop and manage a Short Interval Production Schedule and recovery schedules.
- Teach staff about budgeting from a LEAN perspective, understanding project budgets versus estimated budgets.
- Ensure projects are closed out within 30 days of completion, including final payments from owners and subcontractors.
- Schedule, create agendas for, and run large pre-construction meetings with owners, design teams, and subcontractors.
- Supervise 5-10 staff members, including Administrative Assistants, Project Engineers, and Superintendents.
- Assist with estimating and pre-construction ahead of bids, developing logistics, schedules, general conditions, and staffing plans.
Essential Skills- 8+ years of GROUND-UP Superintendent experience within commercial construction.
- Experience managing projects ranging from $15 million to $70 million.
- Minimum certifications: OSHA30, first aid, and CPR.
- Proficient with P6 scheduling software.
- Experience dealing with subcontractors, scheduling, and budgeting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.27 - $57.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
