Job Description :
DescriptionMISSION STATEMENTWe build pathways to independence through personal development and the power of work.Position Duties:
  • Supervise, coordinate, implement and monitor all aspects of the Clubhouse program.
  • Responsible for providing ongoing monitoring and training of employees.
  • Coordinate transportation needs of clubhouse program members as assigned by Clubhouse Director
  • Responsible for ensuring the timely completion and submission of payroll and HR data as required by Director.
  • Participates in the delivery and maintenance of a systematic intake and discharge
  • Collaborates and coordinates with program staff to ensure each member receives the services best suited for their individual.
  • Participates with members in planning and implementing all aspects of the Clubhouse Model working side by side to engage members in work-ordered day activities including transportation, outreach, wellness and social/recreational activities in accordance with Clubhouse International
  • Assists members in obtaining entitlement benefits, psychiatric and medical treatment, and in utilizing other community- based services, natural supports, self-help groups, to obtain greater self-sufficiency, greater choice, and increased participation in the community.
  • Assist clubhouse members in the development of goals regarding Clubhouse participation, employment, education, housing and social engagement.
  • Assists clubhouse members in developing and securing transitional employment (TE), supported, independent or enclave placement positions including evaluating, coaching, fading and coverage supports in alignment for Clubhouse International Standards.
  • Responds to needs and problems of members utilizing de-escalation techniques to diffuse chaotic and challenging behaviors with practical guidance and advice geared toward realizing aspirations, cooperation with others.
  • Engages cooperatively with members and staff in developing Clubhouse policies and in advancing the purposes and welfare of the Clubhouse as a whole.
  • Provides coverage in the absence of Clubhouse Director.
  • Promote Clubhouse philosophy and advocacy by assisting members to publicize program by participating in community presentations.
  • Assist in the research and preparation of required reports to monitor the quality-of-service delivery and outcome attainment for funding sources, regulatory bodies, audits, and accreditation agencies, while keeping abreast of professional developments and trends pertinent to clubhouse model Prepares agency and funder contractual reports as required.
  • Ensure all safety standards and procedures are uniformly adhered to.
  • Participates in relevant program/community meetings, seminars and conferences as approved including but not limited to comprehensive, regional, and assigned training.
  • Obtains and maintain certification in CPR and First
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as needed.
  • RequirementsEDUCATION:
    • Bachelor's degree in area related to human service/State of Michigan licensure in related field a plus. Clubhouse International/Comprehensive training and or willingness and ability to complete within 12 months.
    EXPERIENCE:
    • Two (2) years' experience working with adults with serious mental illness, preferably within a clubhouse program.
    KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
    • Advanced knowledge of the Clubhouse Model.
    • Knowledge of recipient rights.
    • Understanding of SAMSHA/evidenced based practice/psychiatric rehabilitation services and vocational techniques
    • Ability to work effectively with individuals to carry out responsibilities in a communal setting while ensuring collegial engagement in all aspects of program operations.
    • Ability to support, monitor, supervise and train program staff while maintaining WOD engagement levels.
    • Candidate must possess active listening and de-escalation skills by effectively and constructively addressing inappropriate behaviors in challenging situations.
    • Ability to multi-task and optimize resources /opportunities through coordination and linkages to community agencies including community presentations.
    • Must be able to build positive and engaging relationships with both members, staff and community partners.
    • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
    • Walking, stooping, standing, sitting, bending, reaching.
    • May be required to lift, move and/ or carry up to 50 lbs.
    • Required to maintain high level of alertness and quickly respond to emergencies.
    MENTAL DEMANDS:
    • Ability to remain objective and to respond appropriately while working with members and employees.
    • Must be able to prioritize and complete multiple assignments within specific timeframes.
    • Effective decision making, conceptual thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills required.
    • Must have the ability to motivate others, demonstrate a positive attitude and patience while conveying a vibrant energy that enables both members and staff to work well together.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions in an objective manner.
    • Ability to respond appropriately while serving multiple customers in diverse and somewhat challenging situations.
    MACHINES/EQUIPMENT:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Zoom and Internet.
    • Ability to operate general office equipment including but not limited to calculator, copier, fax, printer telephone.
    • Ability to use and operate kitchen appliances and equipment.
    WORKING CONDITIONS:
    • Interactive position with customers and staff in office, instructional, industrial, and community settings.
    • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
    • Engage members, staff and community contacts in various working environments including office and community-based settings
    OTHER:
    • Must possess valid driver's license, proof of insurance and driving record acceptable to organization's insurance carrier.
    • Must be able to obtain Chauffeur's license within 30 days of employment to transport members in agency vehicles.
    • Annual criminal background checks will be required of employees serving mental health trainees within behavioral health services programs.
