They are responsible the oversight of the cleaning, assembly, sterilization and distribution of instrument sets, as well as the assembly and distribution of case carts for Surgery. Duties also include equipment cleaning, along with maintaining accurate records of sterilization and biological testing. The Supervisor is responsible for complying with an effective hospital wide program for the prevention and control of infection. This position will collaborate interdepartmentally, with primary focus on surgery, but also with other nursing units, as well as the clinics within the organization.
