What you get to go:

* Responsible for leading team in an assigned area of the Education Department which could include Guest Experience, Tour Operations, Field Trips, Day Camps and Sleepovers programs.

* Responsible for growth and development of assigned Assistant Supervisors and accountable for up to 200 front-line Ambassadors

* Manage special projects as assigned; serve as leader for initiatives related to customer satisfaction, team member development, safety and service

* Coordinate and execute responsibilities ensuring the highest level of guest service and satisfaction

* Continuously seek process improvement opportunities including increasing revenue and reducing costs

* Serve as opening or closing Education Department Leader on Duty

* Coach and counsel Ambassadors

* Coordinate the interview, selection, onboarding, and training process of new staff

* Act as leadership liaison with other departments and guests

* Develop, implement, and evaluate new education programs and products

* This position has cash handling & responsible vending duties

* Perform other duties as assigned

What it takes to succeed:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or active pursuit of degree if not completed at time of employment

* Minimum 3 years of experience in formal or informal education environment with 2 year of leadership experience in same field

* A valid state driver's license

* Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Have a valid driver's license; must have valid driver's license from state of residency with a good driving record

* Have strong verbal and written communication skills

* Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment and able to interact and provide quality customer service to guests as needed

* Be able to positively interact with guests and co-workers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs

* Work well within a team structure

* Be able to use computer and camp specific programs including MPR, Global Reservations, Camp Doc, Sea Bird, and more.

* Previous Education experience strongly preferred

What else is important:

* Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

* Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed

* You will perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)

* Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat

* Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/heat temperature extremes

* Will perform cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals

* Will work flexible schedules/hours based on business needs, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays

* Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities
