Overview:
Where there is growth, there is opportunity. Pembina's Transmission Business Unit, (TBU) has an open position, Area Supervisor, US South. Reporting to the District Manager, Gas Operations, the Area Supervisor will ensure the safe, reliable, compliant operation and protection of Pembina's assets. The Supervisor will also collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the safe and effective execution and integration of all work in the area.
Pembina's Transmission Pipeline assets have developed through the strategic acquisition of key natural gas, ethane and condensate transportation infrastructure assets, positioned in some of the most prolific gas producing regions in western Canada and the United States. Pembina's transmission pipelines provide customers with access to premium markets primarily on a fee-for-service basis under long-term contracts through long-haul pipelines.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

* Maintain regulatory compliance for the area by monitoring management system programs, ensuring the completion of all regulatory work orders and participating in internal and external audits, developing, implementing, and reporting on corrective action plans;
* Lead/participate in Emergency Response Plan as per Corporate Standards;
* Ensure that safety incidents are responded to in a timely fashion and debrief to ensure learnings are recognized and implemented;
* Provide leadership, mentorship, feedback, and coaching to staff while participating and contributing to Performance and Development Reviews;
* Lead by example in actions and follow up on issues and observations;
* Maintain strong stakeholder and customer relationships to ensure operational and product reliability standards;
* Provide local area support to ensure the execution of Damage Prevention activities, including locates, threat response, unauthorized access investigations, hazard inspection;
* Provide effective leadership and set direction, for Alliance District operations regarding risk management; assuring that risks to safe, reliable, compliant, efficient, profitable, and responsible operations are understood, made visible to leadership, and managed correctly;
* Ensure compliance with Regulatory Bodies - PHMSA, FERC and state compliance;
* Complete projects and assignments safely and efficiently while observing overall best practices, corporate SSER policy and industry safety practices;
* Provide input into the development of the long range forecast and annual budget (Capital and O&M) to ensure risk mitigations are funded appropriately, costs are effectively managed and the O&M and capital teams are informed of budget impacts for the asset;
* Develop and recommend changes to procedures, processes and/or equipment to improve efficiency and safety of pipeline systems; and
* Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications:
* 10+ years of related experience within a pipeline operations environment including at least five years as a Foreman or equivalent;
* Preference given to those with a technical diploma and/or designation;
* Effective written and verbal communication including a proven ability to interface positively with internal and external stakeholders;
* Ability to lead field operations staff to develop and implement solutions;
* Strong change management skills and leading teams through change;
* Good working knowledge of regulatory and environmental codes;
* Excellent working knowledge of MS Office and demonstrated aptitude working with other business related computer programs and applications;
* Demonstrate ability to be an advocate for safe work standards;
* Strong working knowledge of Gas Operations Pipelines and compressor stations operations; and
* Valid Driver's License.
This position is considered Safety Sensitive and so will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing which includes testing for marijuana metabolites.? You may also be required to provide a Driver's Abstract.
