And that's how we create better together.The Inventory Control Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing our distribution outbound functions while overseeing inventory control processes, ensuring accurate record-keeping, efficient stock management, cycle counts, and timely shelf replenishment to meet operational demands. The Inventory Control Supervisor collaborates with various departments, such as purchasing, planning, and manufacturing to maintain an efficient and cost-effective inventory management system.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following are the primary duties and responsibilities of this role. Other related duties may be assigned to meet the business need.
  • Lead and supervise a team of inventory control staff, ensuring they are properly trained and adhering to standard operating procedures- receiving, counting, storing, and customer fulfillments (internal and external) processes.
  • Possess knowledge of all Enovis Foot & Ankle product families and contents of surgical trays.
  • Participate in continuous quality and performance improvement activities.
  • Analyze inventory activity in NetSuite ERP System.
  • Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of distribution area personnel including implementing process improvements to leverage the talent of their team to consistently increase performance and productivity.
  • Develop and implement the company's order processing functions including any of the following activities: order prioritization, order selection / picking, order audit / inspection, order confirmation processing, labor planning and scheduling controls, and metric performance reporting.
  • Lead and supervise a team of inventory control staff, ensuring they are properly trained and adhering to standard operating procedures- receiving, counting, storing, and customer fulfillments (internal and external) processes.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels using inventory management software or systems (NetSuite).
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist/Implement inventory tracking systems and processes, conduct regular audits, and maintain accurate records of stock movements and levels.
  • Prepare regular reports on inventory performance, stock levels, and related key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.
  • Monitor employee performance, provide feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Continuously review and enhance inventory control procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Coordinate activities with order fulfillment employees to ensure the accomplishment of overall distribution goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain inventory control systems that meet ongoing and future operational needs, including maintenance and record keeping of all shipments and transactions while ensuring compliance with established internal control procedures
  • Analyze, investigate and correct daily inventory discrepancies and costs as they affect facility KPI's and effectively communicate results to leadership and appropriate team members.
  • Conduct needs analysis, determine headcount specifications, identify solutions, and implement recommendations.
  • Maintain ERP computer systems that functionally support all areas of warehouse operations.
  • Troubleshoot and correct all warehouse operating systems problems.
  • Ensure required training is completed by distribution area personnel in accordance with training schedules.
  • Work with Field Operations and Inventory Logistics leadership to create policies and work instructions that provide guidance and drive consistent operation practices.
  • Work with Field Operations and Inventory Logistics leadership and Sales Analyst to develop sound reporting metrics that drive utilization, reduce expired inventory in the field, and are available for internal and external distribution.
  • Define, coordinate, and delegate all non-routine inventory projects.
  • Attend regular team meetings and present KPI's on progress and regress at assigned territory locations.
  • Define the scope of impactful projects that help further the department al objectives and oversee projects until they reach a successful level of completion.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory management.
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role with demonstrated ability in performance management.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other general office equipment.
  • Must have strong mathematical skills with the ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.
  • Must have legible handwriting.
  • Highly experienced with MS Excel.
  • Must be tech-savvy with the ability to learn and navigate supply chain management software (such as NetSuite, Oracle, etc.), Microsoft Office applications (outlook, excel, power point), and other software as necessary.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse management systems, inventory control methodologies, and distribution practices.
  • Travel: 10% travel as needed for training.
Preferences:
  • Proven ability to develop strategic plans and deploy tactical level execution plans for associates
  • General knowledge of distribution, supply chain, logistics and accounting.
  • Ability to articulate clearly, professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task with little supervision.
  • Previous work experience should demonstrate good interpersonal skills, self-motivation, flexibility, detail-oriented work style, professional appearance and attitude, and ability to effectively communicate with customers/clients at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality and sensitivity of customer records.
  • Experience with ERP software preferred (Oracle experience highly valued).
  • Proven ability to develop strategic plans and deploy tactical level execution plans for associates.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and collaboration among team members.
  • Must demonstrate a collaborative leadership style which promotes teamwork and excellence.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, projecting a strong customer and associate focus.
  • APICS Certified Production Inventory Management (CPIM) or CSCP a plus.
  • Organized, analytical approach to problem solving and comfortable negotiating across all levels and functions.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, complete deadlines on-time and maintain strong accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities to review and interpret data.
Work environment | Physical demands:
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
  • May be required to lift and carry 25 pounds.
  • May be required to tug, pull, or lift up to twenty (20) pounds.
