Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT QA Supervisor to lead our Quality Assurance (QA) team. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and hands-on involvement to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products and IT systems. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver who can design and implement QA strategies, lead teams, and directly contribute to the testing process when necessary.
Job Responsibilities & RequirementsLeadership and Management:- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of QA engineers and analysts.
- Define and implement QA best practices, strategies, and processes.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the QA team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and operations, to ensure quality standards are met.
- Provide regular status updates and reports on QA metrics, risks, and progress to stakeholders.
Hands-On QA Activities:- Participate directly in test planning, test case creation, and execution.
- Conduct functional, regression, performance, and security testing as needed.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex technical issues and guide the team in identifying root causes.
- Ensure thorough documentation of test cases, test plans, and testing outcomes.
- Review and provide feedback on test cases written by the QA team.
Strategic QA Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and tools to enhance testing efficiency.
- Evaluate and integrate new testing tools, technologies, and methodologies as needed.
- Define and enforce quality gates during the software development lifecycle.
- Drive initiatives to improve test coverage, reduce defect leakage, and increase automation.
- Partner with DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of automated testing in CI/CD pipelines.
Required Skills and Experience:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a lead role preferred.
- Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing across SAP and Salesforce platforms.
- Proficiency in at least one test automation tool or framework (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Familiarity with programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Industry certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.
