Job Description
As the Quality Control Supervisor, you will lead all aspects of the daily operations of the Incoming Quality Control lab. This outstanding role offers you the chance to lead a dedicated team, ensuring seamless compliance with testing and processing procedures while working with other departments to effectively support site manufacturing needs.
Responsibilities
* Maintain team compliance with site QMS
* Manage the QC team, including interviewing, hiring, and performance management
* Coach, mentor, engage, and develop the team
* Investigate invalid and out of specification test results, handle deviations, and lead corrective actions
* Lead the daily activities of the Quality Control laboratory, assigning job duties to employees as needed to ensure the needs of Manufacturing are met
* Lead training and onboarding processes
* Assess and action team metrics
* Ensure deadlines are met under tight timelines and changing priorities
* Represent the IQC team in support of internal and external audits and site/network cross-functional meetings
* Develop, review, and maintain procedures and work instructions
* Apply continuous improvement and lean tools to optimize lab operations
Education
* Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related subject is preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
Experience
* Direct supervisory experience is strongly preferred
* 3-5 years of Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
* Highly proficient with MS Excel
* Strong communication skills with the ability to actively listen, resolve conflicts, and effectively influence diverse collaborators,and team members.
* Routine use of MS Teams and MS Word
* Highly organized with attention to detail
* Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, accountable, and flexible
* Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks/projects, and meet deadlines
* Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
* Skill to encourage and foster innovation, collaboration, transparency, and team efficiency
* Effective written and oral communication skills
* Strong command of Quality System Regulations and ISO
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $75,800.00-$126,300.00.
