M ake a D ifference The Supervisor Respiratory Therapy provides daily, shift-to-shift leadership supporting the operations of the department to include assists with orientation of new employees and/ or affiliated students. The Supervisor exhibits excellence in clinical patient care, customer service, critical thinking, schedule management, relationship competencies, organizational skills and acts as a role model. The PCC demonstrates performance consistent with all professional standards of practice and care; mission, vision and policies of the Network. The Director/ manager has empowered this role with the authority and autonomy necessary to ensure the appropriate clinical and customer satisfaction outcomes as well as efficient and effective team processes. Exceptional S kills and Qualifications Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.
  • 2 year / Associate Degree of Science Degree from an accredited college or university in Respiratory Care or its equivalent (Required)
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Certifications/Licensures: (Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA)) (Required)
  • 2+ years: Experience in General and Critical Respiratory Care (Required)
  • Proficient in Respiratory Care standards and performs duties of a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • Coordinates shift staffing and makes assignments based on acuity and skill.
  • Assists with orientation of new employees and students.
  • Updates and develops Respiratory Care policies and procedures.
  • Monitors staffing levels every four hours.
  • Provides input for staff performance evaluations and assists with financial operations.
  • Takes patient assignments and participates in regulatory data monitoring.
  • Supports staff in problem-solving and ensures proper documentation.
  • Ensures handoff reports are completed per protocol.
  • Investigates and follows up on incident reports and quality issues.
