Summary This position is located at Fort Leonard Wood Outdoor Adventure Center. Responsibilities Supervises staff of 3-12 employees, assigns and reviews work assignments on a daily, weekly, or longer basis. Plans work schedules, approves or disapproves leave, determines performance objectives and rates performance. Works in executing recreation events, programs and services to meet the recreational needs of a diverse patronage, including a variety of events, social activities, tournaments and other major programs, and holiday observances. Recommends supplies, materials, prizes, decorations, refreshments, and equipment for program functions. Assists in training new personnel. Assures proper security measures are taken to safeguard monies, property, equipment and facility. Supports the activity by applying practical knowledge of recreational activities, skills, materials and facilities. Assists with other recreation programs in the Recreation Center as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 1. Must have knowledge of wide range of recreation and sports activities, organization and structure of installation sports program objectives, policies, methods and procedures to plan, organize, and coordinate activities, assist, guide and motivate staff in carrying out their responsibilities. 2. Must have basic understanding of budget and supply functions in order to prepare input and justification of funding for supplies and equipment. 3. Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing (English). 4. Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
