  • You will provide experienced entitlement counseling to military personnel, their dependents, and civilian employees of the military services.
  • You will arrange the movement of personal property within CONUS and to overseas locations.
  • You will serve as the technical advisor to the Personal Property Supervisor, providing leadership, guidance, and direction in the organization's operation.
  • You will conduct group or individual counseling sessions for all modes of transportation.
  • You will perform supervisory duties to include planning and organizing work and managing positions to ensure maximum productivity.
Requirements Conditions of Employment

  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Interpreting guidelines and instructions pertaining to personal property entitlements for shipments, storage, distance, weight, and cost to provide entitlement counseling services to military and/or government personnel; 2) Providing technical guidance to senior leaders on a wide range of industry practices and procedures and established regulations, requirements, and techniques related to the shipment and storage of personal property; 3) Arranging movement of personal property and resolving problems (e.g., determining mode and carrier according to the destination and priority assigned to shipments and the destination and volume of passenger movements) for military and/or government personnel; and 4) Leading a transportation management team by planning, assigning, and reviewing workload of junior employees.Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: andEducationIn lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:master's or equivalent graduate degreeOR2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degreeORLL.B. or J.D., if relatedEducation at the graduate level in an accredited college or university in the amounts shown above must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.2130 Traffic Management SeriesQualifying Graduate Education: Major study accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position.A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
