The Role
Matrix Renewables is looking for a highly motivated individual to play a key role in our fast-growing and well-established team. The Supply Chain Associate is a crucial role that will be responsible for managing supplier relationships and performance, ensuring the successful execution and compliance of contracts, coordinating equipment delivery, and supporting the overall procurement process. The ideal candidate is tenacious, possesses an exceptional attention to detail, and excels at managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key activities and responsibilities:
• Manage the execution of contractual obligations for Matrix and our suppliers, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and IRA requirements
• Lead and coordinate pre/post-contract execution meetings to align expectations, drive objectives forward, and resolve any issues
• Support the review and negotiation of contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the company
• Handle the coordination and regular review of equipment delivery schedules to ensure timely and accurate delivery of major equipment
• Manage change orders and ensure they are properly documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders
• Monitor supplier performance and address any deviations from agreed-upon standards or timelines
• Assist with creating and processing purchase orders to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements and budgets
• Manage invoice processing and approvals in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Collaborate with Finance and Accounting to resolve discrepancies related to invoices or payments
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to procurement activities
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function
• Any additional responsibilities as deemed necessary
General Skills / Attributes:
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in a supply chain, procurement, or logistics role, preferably within the renewable energy sector
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite), analytics, and data visualization software
• Strong understanding of contract management, vendor relations, and procurement processes
• Sense of urgency to ensure timely and proactive management of supply chain activities and deliverables
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external suppliers
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide strategic recommendations to drive project success and support organizational objectives
