Job Summary: The Supply Chain Associate will support various functions within our facility, ensuring a safe work environment, adherence to food safety guidelines, good manufacturing practices, and good documentation practices. This role involves collaboration with Client Services, Purchasing, and Shipping & Receiving departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Subcontract PO's: Assist planning, purchasing, and warehouse functions to support critical manufacturing processes.
Cycle Counting & Warehouse: Identify areas for improvement, research variances, and address material movement flow blockages.
Shipping & Receiving: Act as a liaison between AM's and the shipping coordinator. Update shipping notes, shipping methods, and incoterms as needed. Coordinate inbound purchase order receipts.
Purchasing: Understand purchasing processes, materials, and strategies for efficiency and process improvements.
Planning: Identify and implement process improvements and update schedules.
General Warehouse Duties: Support various warehouse functions, including inventory management and forklift operation.
Backup Support: Provide backup support to Warehouse, Purchasing, and Planning functions as needed.
Assist and Support: Assist and support various departments within the supply chain.
Continuous Improvement: Develop an understanding of products produced by ProAmpac and use that knowledge to gain efficiencies and cost savings for the site.
Shipping/Receiving Transition: Learn shipping/receiving processes and assist in transitioning these functions from Operations to Purchasing within 1-2 months.
Purchasing Knowledge: Gain knowledge in purchasing processes and strategies.
Department Transition: Support the transition of Shipping/Receiving from Operations to Supply Chain/Purchasing.
Role Development: Develop into a Supply Chain Associate, focusing on Purchasing, Shipping, Receiving, Inventory, and Metrics with Continuous Improvement (CI) support.
Client Services Collaboration: Collaborate with Client Services to supports overall business needs, with opportunities for growth and mentoring
Qualifications:
Forklift training and certification.
Understanding of general warehouse operations.
Experience with international and domestic shipments.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
