ArtSkills, Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly organized Supply Chain Coordinator to join our growing team. This role will support Inbound Logistics, Inventory Management, and Supply Chain planning for our growing team. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods from suppliers to our warehousing facilities and assist in maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Position Overview:
The Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible for key deliverables for inbound logistics, inventory management, and overall supply chain improvements. Working with the Supply Chain Manager, the coordinator will oversee and manage the inbound logistics operations for finished goods,s including imports. This role will work closely with the forecasting, purchasing, and inventory teams to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods from suppliers to our U.S. warehouses. In addition, the coordinator will support inventory control processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain efficient supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent attention to detail, have a strong background in logistics and supply chain, and have knowledge of the process of importing products to the U.S
Key Responsibilities:
Inbound Logistics:
- Oversee the inbound logistics process for finished goods, ensuring timely and accurate delivery from suppliers to the warehouse.
- Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders, suppliers, and customs brokers to ensure the smooth flow of goods, including managing international shipments as needed.
- Track and report on shipment status, resolving any issues related to delays, discrepancies, or damage in transit.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping and import regulations, including proper documentation for customs clearance.
Inventory Management:
- Support the Supply Chain Manager in managing inventory levels of finished goods, ensuring the accurate tracking of stock using ERP or inventory management systems.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Analyze inventory turnover and usage data to recommend adjustments to reorder points and lead times.
- Identify and implement best practices to improve inventory flow, minimize waste, and reduce holding costs.
Supply Chain Coordination:
- Work closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams to coordinate and streamline the entire supply chain process.
- Monitor supplier performance and collaborate to resolve any quality or delivery issues, providing feedback to vendors as needed.
- Analyze and track supply chain metrics (e.g., lead times, cost per unit, on-time delivery rates) to identify areas for improvement.
- Proactively address potential disruptions or delays in the supply chain, working with the team to implement solutions quickly and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in inbound logistics, inventory management, or supply chain coordination, preferably within the manufacturing or art supplies industry.
- Strong understanding of logistics, inventory control, and supply chain principles.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, inventory management software, and data analysis tools (Excel, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve logistical issues and inventory discrepancies efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail, with an ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate across teams and work with external vendors.
- Knowledge of customs regulations and international shipping practices is a plus.
- A passion for art supplies and the creative industry is highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a consumer-packaged goods industry
- Familiarity with sustainable supply chain practices or eco-friendly logistics is a plus.
- Multilingual skills for managing international suppliers and shipments are a bonus.
