Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Director to join a Global pharmaceutical team. As the Supply Chain Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company's supply chain operations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods and services from sourcing to delivery, while minimizing costs and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Your role will involve strategically managing and collaborating with various stakeholders, including suppliers, manufacturers, logistics providers, and internal teams, to ensure a smooth and seamless supply chain process. You will have a deep understanding of supply chain management, logistics, and procurement, and will use your expertise to drive continuous improvement and implement best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies and initiatives to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and develop action plans to meet supply and customer delivery requirements.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance to ensure quality, on-time delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate and timely replenishment.
  • Oversee the transportation and logistics functions, including freight coordination, shipping, and tracking.
  • Analyze data and conduct regular performance reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, support, and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in supply chain management, with 10+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, including procurement, planning, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software and systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skill
