This job researches, analyzes, designs and maintains systems in support of Supply Chain department and departmental projects. Continually monitors Supply Chain systems information needs and designs new or modifies existing systems to meet changing requirements. Serves as liaison with information systems staff in resolving programming and related problems. Recommends new equipment or software in support of Supply Chain department objectives.

Accountabilities
* Participates in implementation, testing, and maintenance of systems to support the Supply Chain processes based on end-user needs.
* Manage information by providing information systems and data management for department operations and performance improvement.
* Analyzes systems operations within Supply Chain. Prepares recommendations and documentation to create the services and to help formulate policies and procedures for these systems.
* Works closely with the Supply Chain staff in order to design new and modify existing systems to meet changing requirements.
* Develops, writes and maintains training documentation and materials.
* Responsible for other systems maintenance (e.g., GHX, Premier, QSight, LBI and such) and upgrade activities as directed by the Manager of Supply Chain Information Systems.
* Creates and generates ad-hoc reports as required.
* Responsible for ensuring the item and vendor masters are accurate and maintained.
* Works with IT in support of EDI transactions.
* Monitors systems' interfaces and failures to minimize down time activity.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
Minimum Experience
3 to 5 years experience in Supply Chain Information Systems
Other Required Experience
Must have high level, demonstrated knowledge and skill using database, spreadsheet, and flow charting packages (e.g., Access, Excel, Chrystal, and Visio). Experience in integrated critical thinking skills, i.e., planning, organizing, and interpreting, into a cohesive departmental program; strong oral and written communication skills.
