Position Overview

The Supply Chain Inventory Analyst is responsible for overseeing and optimizing inventory management processes within the organization's systems infrastructure to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and optimal stock levels. This role requires a strong proficiency in various software tools and technologies, including Excel, experience in SQL, Smart Connect middleware and inventory management isn't required but would be beneficial. In addition, this role involves analyzing inventory data, coordinating with warehouse staff, and implementing strategies to improve inventory processes and warehouse operations.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Conduct daily reviews of inventory data to ensure accuracy and integrity within the systems.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize Excel and other tools to analyze inventory data, identify trends, and generate insights for decision-making.
  • Error Handling: Monitor and address errors that occur between WMS and ERP systems, including root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate issues, coordinate resolutions, and ensure alignment between inventory systems.
  • System Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve inventory management processes and system functionalities, working closely with IT and operations teams as needed.
  • Project Management: Manage projects related to inventory system enhancements, upgrades, or integrations, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of inventory processes, procedures, and system configurations.
  • Inventory Monitoring: Regularly monitor inventory levels in the warehouse to ensure stock is accurately recorded and managed. Track stock movements, including receipts, transfers, and shipments.
  • Compliance: Ensure that inventory management practices comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Information Systems, or Supply Chain Management. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including vlookup, pivot table creation, and comparison.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in warehouse inventory management or related fields. SQL and/or Smart Connect or similar middleware platforms Experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in inventory management and analysis, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and departments.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety and compliance standards

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facilities.
