About Our ClientOur client is a forward-thinking agrochemical company specializing in the development, formulation, and global marketing of branded crop protection and plant nutrition products. We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain and Logistics Manager - Europe for their growing team.

Job PurposeThe Supply Chain and Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution. This role requires a strong network of industry contacts, expertise in toll manufacturing, and a deep understanding of distribution lines, warehouse areas, and locations. The ideal candidate will ensure that products are delivered efficiently and on time while minimizing costs and maximizing profitability.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with the company's overall business goals.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Oversee the management of inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability across all warehouse locations.
  • Leverage a strong network of industry contacts to build and maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, logistics providers, and distribution partners.
  • Identify and secure partnerships with toll manufacturers and other key stakeholders to enhance production capabilities and flexibility.
  • Manage and oversee the entire logistics process, from procurement to final delivery, ensuring that all products are transported efficiently and meet quality standards.
  • Optimize distribution lines to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers and distributors.
  • Coordinate with third-party logistics providers to ensure seamless operation and resolve any issues that may arise during transportation.
  • Oversee the operation of multiple warehouse locations, ensuring they are strategically positioned to serve key markets efficiently.
  • Ensure that warehouse areas are utilized effectively, with appropriate storage solutions in place to maintain product quality and safety.
  • Implement best practices in warehouse management, including inventory tracking, stock rotation, and space optimization.
  • Manage relationships with toll manufacturers to ensure products meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Oversee the coordination between internal teams and toll manufacturing partners to align production schedules and capacity with demand forecasts.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with toll manufacturers to ensure favorable conditions for the company.
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
  • Monitor and manage supply chain disruptions, ensuring operations continue smoothly even in adverse conditions.
  • Track and analyze key supply chain metrics to assess the performance of logistics and supply chain activities.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Work closely with other departments, including Sales, Marketing, Production, and Finance, to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages open communication and teamwork across the supply chain function.
  • Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring all expenditures align with financial targets.
  • Monitor and control logistics, warehousing, and inventory management costs.
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management within the industry.
  • Strong understanding of agricultural supply chain dynamics, including knowledge of plant nutrition products and agricultural inputs.
  • Proven track record of strategic supply chain planning and execution.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software and systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) is a plus.
