About the Company:

Our client is hiring a Supply Chain Manager with Food & Beverage experience with a strong focus on Purchasing & Production Planning.

Responsibilities:

Supplier Management & Purchasing:

  • Existing Suppliers - establish and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers to ensure consistent flow of materials & product availability
  • New Suppliers - identify, evaluate, and select new suppliers based on quality, pricing, and reliability
  • Raw Material Purchasing - be responsible for purchasing all our packaging and raw materials. Submitting and tracking supplier PO's, factoring in lead times and production deadlines
  • Forecasting - maintain a daily, weekly, monthly forecast for all raw materials and finished goods
  • Inventory Management: Implement and maintain inventory control systems to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory
  • Monitor Supplier Performance - track key KPIs for each supplier based upon quality, speed and reliability. Regular site visits to build relationship and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards

Production Planning:

  • Production Schedule: working with our co-packing partners to prioritize their production schedule on a daily, weekly, monthly basis
  • Cross Dept Collaboration: work closely with sales & marketing team to plan production around evolving customer needs, demand forecasts and inventory levels
  • Capacity Planning & Utilization: analyze production capacity and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime
  • Logistics Communication: coordinate with logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management in the food & beverage industry, with a focus on purchasing and production planning. Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes. Working experience of supply chain software and excel templates. Strong communication skills. Excellent organizational, project management skills, attention to detail. Creative problem-solving; strategic and analytical mind.

Required Skills:

This role is hybrid (2-3x week) based out of our headquarters in Bergen County, New Jersey.
