ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all domestic and international import shipments, ensuring compliance with US customs and import regulations for shipments entering the country.
  • Manages compliance with supply agreements, deliverables, and milestones. Reviews and verifies vendor invoices and import-related commercial documentation.
  • Ensures a thorough understanding of vendor contracts and the scope of sourcing requirements.
  • Provides comprehensive customer service and support to both internal and external clients, acting as the liaison between third-party warehouses, clients, and the company, and addressing any operational or logistics-related issues.
  • Manages third-party warehouse and carrier vendor relationships, including reviewing contracts and assessing vendor and warehouse performance.
  • Coordinates with firms, suppliers, and equipment vendors to ensure compliance with contract terms and timely delivery of contractual obligations.
  • Responsible for developing and refining the order fulfillment and management processes to meet the company's needs and managing the overall order flow.
  • Manages operational data in the company's ERP system, including sales orders, invoices, stock tracking, and inventory updates, and maintains Bill of Lading logs for inventory stored at third-party sites.
  • Prepares and maintains reports and metrics, collaborating with the Finance team to track the status of orders, invoices, payments, and logistics for month-end closing.
  • Collaborates with sales forecasting, production planning, and inventory allocation teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Leads the internal quarterly and external annual audits for logistics and operations.
  • Leads the Logistics team, including recruitment, development, and training to support the company's growth.
  • Identifies and implements continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics and purchasing processes.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • 5+ years professional experience in Supply Chain / logistics.
  • Import/Export experience.
  • Experienced within a manufacturing environment.
  • Background utilizing SAP desired.
  • Purchasing, Procurement, Contract Management, Logistics, or other relevant degree strongly preferred.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including an ability to maintain calm and effective exchanges by all parties during stressful situations.
  • Excellent organizational skills demonstrated by clear and effective project plans and executive level reporting that ensure timely action and decision making in time-pressured scenarios.
