This global company, an industrial leader that serves niche markets in more than 30 countries and generates well over $7B in sales, operates in diverse markets and provides differentiated technology solutions that address complex challenges.This company division supports the semiconductor industry, providing critical systems and technologies that are also used in life science technology.The Supply Chain Manager will be pivotal in driving operational excellence by overseeing procurement, planning, shipping, and receiving functions. This position offers the opportunity to lead strategic supply chain initiatives, optimize resource utilization, and collaborate across departments to meet business goals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The candidate will ensure the seamless and cost-effective procurement of materials, building strong supplier relationships to negotiate favorable terms while aligning purchasing plans with financial and production objectives.They will monitor inventory levels, oversee outsourcing contracts, and streamline shipping and receiving operations to maintain accuracy and efficiency. The role includes leading production planning to meet customer demands, optimizing logistics, and integrating planning with procurement to reduce lead times.In addition, the manager will implement systems to improve order accuracy, establish KPIs to assess performance, and prepare detailed reports for senior leadership. Building and developing a high-performing, collaborative team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and efficiency will be essential.Currently, this role has five reports and is tasked with processing incoming/outbound materials daily. However, the company wants to improve its supply chain processes as they impact internal and external customers. Thus, the company is turning to the military to find people with a strong leadership background, the ability to professionally prioritize tasks, and assist with obtaining the best pricing for the lowest price/highest quality items available for production.The company is located in a beautiful part of northern Boston and is looking for people who desire to be in this area of the country for the foreseeable future. They are looking for individuals who want to be a part of the improvement of the systems and processes. Who are you? You are a military leader with experience in supply chain management and a degree or desire to be in an operational capacity that supports logistics, business administration, engineering, or similar fields. The company deploys an ERP system that will be moving towards SAP in the future, so any familiarity with this type of system would be ideal, whether from the military or otherwise. Also, extensive usage of Excel for data tracking is important.You should have many years of supply chain or logistics experience, with at least 3 years managing teams.- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to develop high-performing teams are essential- Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP/MRP systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP) is required- An analytical mindset, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills are also necessary- You should be detail-oriented and able to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environmentsThis position aligns well with military veterans' leadership, operational planning, and logistical skills.
