JOB SUMMARY

The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for maintaining healthy inventory levels to support the business. Work with the Supply Planning Manager to drive cross-functional collaboration across Marketing, Product Development, Sourcing, Logistics, and Warehousing to manage items from launch through product life. This individual will represent the supply chain team and have the empowerment to make buying decisions to balance inventory and total delivered cost for finished goods. This position also supports all auditing, reporting, and analytical functions (buys, past due POs), price variations, PO/Pricing audits, inventory reporting, inventory reconciliations, vendor relations, and service strategies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Develop buy strategies and execute ordering requirements aligned to MRP signals and recommendations

* Partner with suppliers to develop and negotiate the best production and delivery schedules to support demand

* Communicate service outlook, inclusive of potential/imminent disruption, and develop strategies for all service shortfalls

* Utilize the consensus forecast to adjust the supply plan and create a purchasing plan to achieve service rates, inventory levels, and desired price variances. Identify and resolve supply/demand issues that impact optimal inventory levels to prevent out of stocks and excess

* Work closely with sourcing on new product introduction to meet all deadlines

* Manage inventory and communication surrounding reformulations and discontinuations

* Audit and maintain information and data integrity in ERP/MRP systems

* Identify ways to improve supply planning processes and tools for assigned areas

* Perform monthly inventory reconciliations at multiple locations

QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's Degree: 1-5 years experience with Supply Chain Management (preferably in the consumer goods industry)

* Strong analytical skills. Problem-solving capabilities will be critical for success in this role

* Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

* Effective communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally with multiple organizations

* Prior experience and understanding of MRP and ERP systems

* Exceptional skills in Excel

* APICS certification recommended

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

* Lifting: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

* Reaching: Extending hands and arms in any direction.

* Sitting: Must be able to remain in the seated, stationary position throughout the workday.
