DIRECT HIRE

SHIFT: 1st Shift, 8:00am-5:00pm

SALARY: $50,000-65,000/year DOE

DEGREE: Bachelors Degree required, open to new grads!

Position: Purchasing / Supply Chain Specialist

Reports to: Purchasing Manager

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Good understanding of manufacturing process, quality and purchasing
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams and other computer programs as required
  • Work efficiently within a cross-functional team
  • Ability to travel to suppliers as needed (up to 40%)
  • Purchasing/Account Management/Quality - 1 year experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Schedule, attend and report regarding supplier visits during crisis situations
  • Work with supplier contacts to provide timely and accurate responses to supply chain issues
  • Create and maintain schedule for on-site supplier visits as well as supplier visits to company
  • Work closely with suppliers to resolve concerns and effectiveness of countermeasures put in place
  • Work closely with other departments at company regarding supplier concerns/issues that affect production
  • Manage supplier problem reporting externally and internally
  • Daily/Weekly/Monthly follow-up for all supplier problems reported to company
  • Work with cross-functional team during supplier audits
  • Establish supplier relationships to foster a collaborative approach to the betterment of supplier and company
  • Work closely with suppliers on Kaizen, VA/VE and other activities to improve
  • Understanding of how to read part drawings to compare against material, process, inspect, etc. at suppliers
  • Work closely with Suppliers to improve in areas where they may not meet company standards and/or expectations
  • Ability to lead meetings with Suppliers and/or internal team members regarding the supply chain
  • Identify potential areas of concerns based on audit results and work with suppliers on a proactive solution
  • Work with MRP team to identify problem areas and create team from company and Supplier to address and devise solutions
  • Assist suppliers in developing processes that align with future of strategic partnerships using a proactive/collaborative approach
