Position Name: Supply Chain Specialist / Materials Management Location: Bloomington, IL 61704 Duration: 3 months temp to hire Pay Rate: $30/hr on W2. Shift: M-F- 6 am - 2.30 pm SUMMARY • This Position will oversee Inbound and Outbound Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Inventory Management Dunnage Disposal / Management of Supply Chain Personnel. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. • Safety • Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed. • Review and maintain safety compliance records. • Correct any unsafe conditions when they are found. • Logistics • Analyze and recommend any supply chain efficiency measures. • Analyze and review requests for maintenance of logistics equipment. • Ensure all equipment and other facilities are in working order. • Develop and monitor a fleet maintenance schedule! • Work with necessary subcontractors to maintain logistics equipment. • HR • Interview candidates for direct driving positions • Recommend programs to reduce turnover. • Maintain Disciplinary records. • Planning • Review Capacity plans vs. upcoming customer demand • Recommend equipment purchases. • Oversee any warehouse and fleet upgrades/improvements. • Review and update any relevant SOPs. • Work with supplier and customer representatives to maintain on-time delivery and pickup. • Metric Reporting • Lost time accidents • Vehicle downtime • Capacity Utilization • Logistics Spend SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position is the direct supervisor for all personnel within the logistics and supply chain department. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Basic Computer Skills • Microsoft Word • Outlook • Excel • Internet • Knowledge of Filing Systems • Knowledge of Company Production and Quality Systems (M2M, MPACT) • Operation of Office Equipment • Scanners • Fax Machines • Copying Machines • Computer/Printers etc • Handling of confidential and/or sensitive material EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or Equivalent Previous Supply Chain experience
