We have an immediate need for a highly motivated Supply Chain Specialist. If you are operationally-minded, have prior cGMP, GDP, and/or OSHA experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where priorities are often shifting, this could be a great opportunity for you to grow with our early-stage biotech organization.

This role will be based full-time onsite in Watertown, MA and will require travel to our Cambridge, MA headquarters and possibly other locations as needed.

Role and Responsibilities

Procurement:

  • Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required
  • Partners with the manufacturing leadership to understand procurement quantities and scheduling
  • Initiates requests for quotations and proposals
  • Analyzes proposal pricing from potential suppliers to identify opportunities for cost and risk reduction and to improve efficiency
  • Initiates purchase orders and ensures timely approval by the internal team and on-time delivery by suppliers
  • Reviews and approves supplier invoices, and support invoice resolutions as required
  • Partners with legal counsel in the preparation of non-disclosure agreements with suppliers

Logistics:

  • Receives and allocates materials according to storage specifications
  • Manages inventory updates and cycle count processes
  • Transfers materials to production areas
  • Ships materials per written requests

Other:

  • Develops and updates standard operating procedures (SOP's)
  • Supports warehouse facilities and equipment qualification, calibration, and maintenance
  • Acts as warehouse representative on cross-functional projects

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree is required
  • 3 years of experience working in regulated environments (i.e., cGMP, GDP, OSHA) is required
  • Must have a valid drivers license and ability to drive a full-sized van as required
  • Prior experience in supply chain, logistics management and material management experience is highly preferred
  • Good verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with all departments
  • Strong organizational skills are required
  • Change management skills a plus
  • Must be available to support our cell therapy operations during non-standard/extended hours and weekends/holidays as required
  • Proficient in software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Smartsheet)

Physical Demands:

  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Requires physical activity such as standing for long periods of time, walking, and working with hands
