**Duties**

** Summary**

This position is located inthe Internal Controls Administration Division at the West Point MINT. The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of duties, technical and clerical, related to the accountability and inventory control of precious coinage metal (gold, silver, palladium and platinum).

**Responsibilities**

As a Supply Technician (Inventory), you will:

- Be responsible for inventory control and accountability of coinage metal i.e. blanks, coins, rejects, etc.

**-** Maintain automated accounting systems, formulate reports and prepare cost accounting reports for the site and headquarters.

**-** Coordinate with shipping and receiving staff to verify transactions to assure compliance with contract specifications.

- Ensure that coinage inventory levels are adequate to meet production requirements.

- Act as coordinator between internal organizational units and suppliers to resolve issues involving raw material shortages, overages, or contract compliance problems.

You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement.

**Specialized experience:** For the GS-07, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service**.** Specialized experience for this position includes:

- **A****ccountability of supply management services to meet operational requirements. Examples of such experience could include:

- Receiving, tracking and maintaining inventory OR

- Controlling inventory in support of a manufacturing or production environment; OR

- Recording transactions in ledger books and automated software, and reconciling discrepancies.** In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following **time-in-grade requirement**, if applicable:

For the GS-07 you must have been at the GS-06level for 52 weeks.
