Summary About the Position: This is a TERM Not to Exceed (NTE) 2 Years position located at the U.S. MSCoE G3 Support Operations Ft Leonard Wood. Responsibilities Incumbent functions as Supply Technician with responsibility for logistical coordination of ammunition for three training brigades that support over 14,000 Soldiers in training annually. Must have an in depth working knowledge of general supply procedures, property accountability, supply budgeting procedures, inventory control, transportation and shipping in support of all installation ranges. Performs supply, budget, warehousing, scheduling, and related administrative tasks; interfaces with a variety of instructors and students in training. Coordinates with training brigade ammunition managers to get ammunition staged and delivered to ranges for all training. Serves as sub-hand receipt holder from Combat Training Company for all TDA equipment associated with the ammunition and water delivery operations to support installation training. Works with Combat Training Company and G33, Fort Leonard Wood on the budget to cover projected annual supply operating expenses for the AWSS. Operates a diesel powered, single-axle truck weighing over 11,000 pounds in the performance of duties Operates forklifts capable of lifting 2,000 to 15,000 pounds, respectively, as high as 157 inches, to move, load or unload, transfer and transport, and stack or unstack palletized goods, boxes, crates, merchandise, materials and supplies from one location to another. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes: (1) supporting a supply system; (2) maintaining inventory accountability; (3) forecasting/predicting supply requirements; and (4) handling ammunition. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Ammunition and Explosives Customer Service (Clerical/Technical) Manages and Organizes Information Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcement. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution for education for experience is permitted. Additional Information This position is a TERM position, Not to Exceed 2 years. This position can be made permanent.
